How can we help students understand the importance of water — not just oceans, but the rivers, lakes, wetlands, and even puddles that shape their world?
At BonoLab, we’re excited to launch a brand new online course:
“Blue Learning for Future Generations” — a free, flexible course designed for teachers of 12–14-year-olds who want to make sustainability education more relevant, local, and inspiring.
The course is co-developed in collaboration with Baltic Living Lab (NGO, Estonia).
The course introduces educators to the concept of blue literacy — a way of teaching that connects students to water systems through outdoor learning, problem-solving, and collaboration with the wider community. Grounded in the UNESCO Ocean Literacy principles and expanded to include all types of water, the course supports teachers in creating meaningful learning experiences that align with EU sustainability missions and global goals like the SDGs.
